Here's your chance to pit yourself against 600 Firefighters in a climb up 28 floors wearing 25kgs of Turnout Gear and Breathing Apparatus. This year, the Firefighter's Charity Fund with your help will be climbing to raise $700,000 to aid in the fight against depression, PTSI and suicide. Compete, donate, or sponsor a Firefighter to help the Emergency Services Foundation support mental health initiatives.
It has been a couple of years since I last entered this event, hoping that the old body can still get me up 28 flights of stairs in Full Structural PPC and this time with Breathing Apparatus and on compressed air!
Please help me support this incredible cause.
9/11 Memorial The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb remembers the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty on 11th September 2001.
My stair climb race bib will include the name and photo of FDNY Firefighter Gregory T Saucedo in memory of their sacrifice made on that fateful day. Read more about Gregory T Saucedo.
So far, I've raised $1,315 of my $1,000 fundraising goal.
