Climbing for CFA Pakenham

So 2023 was ment to be my 3rd stairclimb after two years virtually but in June 2023 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and it shut down my chance to enter. But my brigade ran up those stairs in honour of me. 2024 is my year after being told I’m in remission in April 2024 and being treated by Peter Mac cancer facility. I can now concur these stairs. May not be a quick climb but to do it for myself and say I did it. And to raise much needed funds for Peter Mac, 000 foundation who both helped me and my family soo much the last 12 months and of course lifeline who do an amazing job. So please dig deep and even if it’s only a couple of dollars it all helps and goes to an amazing bunch of
organisations who help us get through and smash down the barriers. Let’s help people fighting mental health issues, Depression, PTSI and suicide. And get some awareness out there and break the stigma.

9/11 Memorial

The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb remembers the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty on 11th September 2001.

My stair climb race bib will include the name and photo of FDNY Firefighter Paul J Gill in memory of their sacrifice made on that fateful day. Search and read more about Paul J Gill.

So far, I've raised $1,061 of my $1,000 fundraising goal.

This year your time to give back to such a meaningful cause to you and our family. The 000 foundation forever hold a place in my heart for all of us support it provided to us on our darkest days. So as your climbing up the stairs remember why you’re doing it not only for yourself but for other families that are going through what we’ve been through. I love you forever and I’ll see you at the top of stairs.
