Climbing for FR NSW Coffs Harbour
Saturday SEPTEMBER 7th September 2024; I will joining 600 other Firefighters from Australasia & around the globe for the 10th Annual Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb.
The event simulates the actions entering a burning high rise building, so is exclusively for firefighters in full structural firefighting protective clothing, and wearing Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
The charitable event undertaken by the 000 Foundation will provide tax deductible receipts. This year our aim is $750,000 for Lifeline and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation to improve support services, fund research and raise awareness of Mental health issues like depression, Post Traumatic Stress Injury and Suicide, and the treatment of Cancers especially for those within the Emergency Service & Defence communities.

The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb remembers the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty on 11th September 2001.
My stair climb race bib will include the name and photo of FDNY Firefighter Arthur T Barry in memory of their sacrifice made on that fateful day. Search and read more about Arthur T Barry.
