Here's your chance to pit yourself against 600 Firefighters in a climb up 28 floors wearing 25kgs of Turnout Gear and Breathing Apparatus. This year, the Firefighter's Charity Fund with your help will be climbing to raise $700,000 to aid in the fight against depression, PTSI and suicide. Compete, donate, or sponsor a Firefighter to help the Emergency Services Foundation support mental health initiatives.
Hi. I’m stepping up in the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb, which has seen firefighters come from across Australasia to raise more than $3 million for charity in the last 9 years – benefitting Burns Treatment, Cancer Research, Children’s Health and now Mental Health.
This year, we are aiming to raise $600,000 for Lifeline, Fortem Australia and the 000 Foundation.
These much needed funds will improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues.
These are issues that have torn at the heart of my firefighting “family” – we have lost too many of our brothers and sisters in the emergency services to suicide and an ever increasing number are seriously injured by PTSI.
Please help me “Step up to the fight against depression, PTSI and suicide” by sponsoring me below.
Thanks to our sponsors, 100% of every dollar you donate will go to mental health.
So far, I've raised $202 of my $1,000 fundraising goal.
