Climbing for FRV Ormond
Hi. On September 6th, I’m stepping up in my 12th Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb, which has seen firefighters come from across Australasia to raise more than $4 million for charity in the last 11 years – benefitting Burns Treatment, Cancer Research, Children’s Health and Mental Health.
This year, we are aiming to raise a MILLION DOLLARS for Lifeline, Peter Mac and the 000 Foundation.
These much needed funds will improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues.
These are issues that have torn at the heart of my firefighting “family” – we have lost too many of our brothers and sisters in the emergency services to cancer, suicide and an ever increasing number are seriously injured by PTSI.
