Hi. On September 12th, I’m stepping up in my 13th Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb, which has seen firefighters come from across Australasia to raise more than $5 million for charity in the last 12years – benefitting Burns Treatment, Cancer Research, Children’s Health and Mental Health.
This year, we are aiming to raise a MILLION DOLLARS for Lifeline, Peter Mac and the 000 Foundation.
These much needed funds will improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues.
These are issues that have torn at the heart of my firefighting “family” – we have lost too many of our brothers and sisters in the emergency services to cancer, suicide and an ever increasing number are seriously injured by PTSI.

9/11 Memorial

The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb remembers the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty on 11th September 2001.

My stair climb race bib will include the name and photo of FDNY Firefighter Stephen G Harrell in memory of their sacrifice made on that fateful day. Search and read more about Stephen G Harrell.
