Here's your chance to pit yourself against 600 Firefighters in a climb up 28 floors wearing 25kgs of Turnout Gear and Breathing Apparatus. This year, the Firefighter's Charity Fund with your help will be climbing to raise $700,000 to aid in the fight against depression, PTSI and suicide. Compete, donate, or sponsor a Firefighter to help the Emergency Services Foundation support mental health initiatives.
Hello! I’m Steph and this is my second time joining in on the MFSC! I have been a volunteer firefighter for roughly four years now and loving every aspect of it. However like many jobs, firefighting can have a major impact on metal health, I have seen how it can effect people within my own family, friends and colleagues. That\’s exactly why I wanted to join in on this years (and hopefully next years) MFSC for mental health to help support those in the fire family and other areas of frontline work.
So I am asking for your support and encouragement from the 6th of August to the 7th of September I virtually climb 3250 stairs in structural firefighting kit to support the 000 foundation on behalf of the Country Fire Service (CFS).
So far, I've raised $100 of my $500 fundraising goal.
I've completed 483 steps towards our overall goal of 1,000,000 steps.
