Climbing for SA CFS Kalangadoo

Hello! I\\’m Steph and this is my first ever time joining in at the MFSC! I have been in my local volunteer fire brigade for about two years now and loving every aspect of it. However like many jobs, firefighting can have a major impact on metal health, I have seen how it can effect people within my own family, friends and colleagues. That\\’s exactly why I wanted to join in on this year\\’’s (and hopefully next year\\’s) MFSC for mental health to help support those in the fire family and other areas of frontline work.

So I am asking for your support and encouragement on the 10th of September as I and my life partner and fellow firefighter, Scott, climb 28 flights of stairs at the Metropol Hotel donning 25kg of structural firefighting kit to support the 000 foundation on behalf of the Country Fire Service (CFS).

9/11 Memorial
The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb remembers the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty on 11th September 2001.

My stair climb race bib will include the name and photo of FDNY Firefighter John J Tipping II in memory of their sacrifice made on that fateful day. Read more about John J Tipping II.

So far, I've raised $538 of my $1,000 fundraising goal.
