Here's your chance to pit yourself against 600 Firefighters in a climb up 28 floors wearing 25kgs of Turnout Gear and Breathing Apparatus. This year, the Firefighter's Charity Fund with your help will be climbing to raise $700,000 to aid in the fight against depression, PTSI and suicide. Compete, donate, or sponsor a Firefighter to help the Emergency Services Foundation support mental health initiatives.
Hi. On September 10th I’ll be climbing 28 floors in 25kg of kit and helping to raise $600,000 to improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues.
Please help me “Step up to fight depression, PTSI and suicide” by sponsoring me below.
Thanks to our sponsors, 100% of every dollar donated will go to mental health.
9/11 Memorial The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb remembers the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty on 11th September 2001.
My stair climb race bib will include the name and photo of FDNY Firefighter Peter J Ganci Jr in memory of their sacrifice made on that fateful day. Read more about Peter J Ganci Jr.
So far, I've raised $313 of my $500 fundraising goal.

As the son of a Vietnam Veteran, and a past serving member of the Australian Infantry Corp, I recognise the pressures that service members can deal with. Fundraising for this cause is important: thank you for all you do, Sam.
