Climbing for CFA Mooroopna

21 years ago the world was shaken. At 0846 the first plane struck the World Trade Centre in New York. 17 minutes later, the second building was struck. Around 3000 people lost their lives that day, 343 of them where firefighters.

On September 10th I’ll be climbing 28 floors at the Metropol Hotel in Melbourne in 25kg of turnout gear and breathing apparatus to helping to raise $600,000 to improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues

3,046 Australians lose their lives to mental health each year, that’s 3,046 people too many. So let’s smash it out and break the stigmata of mental health and get the conversation rolling!

9/11 Memorial
The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb remembers the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty on 11th September 2001.

My stair climb race bib will include the name and photo of FDNY Firefighter Vincent S Morello in memory of their sacrifice made on that fateful day. Read more about Vincent S Morello.

So far, I've raised $200 of my $500 fundraising goal.
