Climbing for CFA Werribee

Hi. This October, I’ll be taking part in a million steps for mental health and helping to raise $500,000 to improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues.

1 in four Australians will suffer from a mental illness in their lifetime, and 3 million are currently living with depression and anxiety.

I am one of those, and despite the struggles that I face because of it, I am fortunate to not be suffering on my own. CFA and St John Ambulance Victoria has been a great support system for me, and volunteering with them for the last 8 ½ years has shown me that we are never alone. My fellow volunteers make up a large portion of the family and friends who have helped me fight mental illness as well as fires.

Participating in the 2023 firefighters climb is one way that I can help others like I have been helped. I know that suffering from a mental illness is hard, and so is talking about it. That’s why I am motivated to do my part and don full structure gear and BA to climb 28 floors for my fundraising goal of $2500.

Please help me “Step up to fight cancer, depression, and suicide” by sponsoring me below.

Thanks to our sponsors, 100% of every dollar donated will go to cancer research and crisis support.

So far, I've raised $0 of my $1,000 fundraising goal.
