Kathy Brunning

Climbing for FRV Northcote

My dad was a firefighter for over 30 years. Both my parents died recently and I’ve been finding exercise a great help for dealing with my grief. I’m always keen for a challenge, inspired my Dad who was a runner on the MFB team that ran around Australia, aged 50!
I’m participating to help those organisations that help all of us. We all need some help sometimes.

So far, I've raised $610 of my $500 fundraising goal.

I've completed 4,140 steps towards our overall goal of 1,000,000 steps.

Thanks so much, Chintha. I doubt I'll ever be able to beat Dad's incredible efforts, but like to think by doing this challenge, I'm honouring him. I must admit, I fell into a pothole of grief this morning. I'm sure the stair climbing helped: my tight muscles helped to squeeze it out and the sweat let it pour out. The beautiful setting was also good for the soul. x
