Climbing for SA CFS Compton

Hi, I’m Corey Crafter, and this is my 4th year competing in the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb.

The 2020 Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb has gone virtual due to COVID-19.

On September 12, I should of been climbing the 28 floors of the Crown Metropol, wearing 25 kgs of turnout gear.

On average, 3046 Australians lose their lives to suicide each year.

This year I, along with others aim to climb a million steps for mental health between 10th of September and 10th of October, raising money for Lifeline, the Black Dog Institute and the 000 Foundation, to improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues, such as depression, post traumatic stress injury and suicide.

I have set my goal to climb a minimum of 3046 steps, but for every $1000 raised, I will climb an additional 1000 steps. I will also be doing all this while still wearing the full 25kgs of turnout gear.

So far, I've raised $75 of my $1,000 fundraising goal.

I've completed 3,397 steps towards our overall goal of 1,000,000 steps.
