Here's your chance to pit yourself against 600 Firefighters in a climb up 28 floors wearing 25kgs of Turnout Gear and Breathing Apparatus. This year, the Firefighter's Charity Fund with your help will be climbing to raise $700,000 to aid in the fight against depression, PTSI and suicide. Compete, donate, or sponsor a Firefighter to help the Emergency Services Foundation support mental health initiatives.
My 6th event raising funds for some fantastic charities. This year a new brigade and fresh outlook on life.
Every step I take is used to reflect on the psychological and physical challenges facing Firefighters and the families that support us when times are hard.
The 000Foundation (Triple Zero Foundation) is a charity dedicated to the welfare of our Emergency Service Personnel, with a particular focus on the issues of mental health experienced by the sector. They support front-line volunteers, staff and families when they need support following a work related injury or illness. Knowing how much they do to help keeps people supported makes them a valued charity for emergency services.
Peter Mac is Australia’s only public hospital that’s 100% dedicated to cancer care.
Lifeline is a national charity, operating 41 centres across Australia, providing those experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis and suicide prevention support.
Donate a lot, your monthly coffee money or spare change. Every cent goes towards the amazing work that these Charites do not only for emergency service personnel, but everyone.
So far, I've raised $0 of my $1,500 fundraising goal.
