Here's your chance to pit yourself against 600 Firefighters in a climb up 28 floors wearing 25kgs of Turnout Gear and Breathing Apparatus. This year, the Firefighter's Charity Fund with your help will be climbing to raise $700,000 to aid in the fight against depression, PTSI and suicide. Compete, donate, or sponsor a Firefighter to help the Emergency Services Foundation support mental health initiatives.
Cancer and mental health are things that impact our whole community, but the situations that Firefighters (and other first responders) are exposed to make us more susceptible to the negative outcomes of them.
Raising funds for these organisations helps the whole community, through general cancer research, or specific mental health services for first responders, which in turn helps them to be the best they can be when yourself or somebody else is having their worst day.
Dig deep, every dollar donated helps, and also give us drive to make this climb!
My goal may be $1000, but let’s have a go at making that number seem small!
So far, I've raised $456 of my $1,000 fundraising goal.
